Alfred Martin

KOPPERSTON — Alfred Martin, 75, of Kopperston, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at his residence.

Born July 22, 1936, in Summers County, he was the son of the late Robert Porter and Lottie Mae Michael Martin. A celebration of Alfred’s life was held 12 noon Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at the Kopperston Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Raybon Cook officiating. Evans Funeral Home of Oceana is serving the Martin family.

Silas Lane

BUD — Silas Lane, 84, of Bud, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2012, after a long illness.

He was born May 15, 1927, in Bud, to the late Ray and Frances Stanley Lane. Services were held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Bud-Alpoca Methodist/Old Regular Baptist Church. The family of Silas Lane is being cared for by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.

William G. Wolfe Sr.

MULLENS — William Gordon Wolfe Sr., 83, of Mullens went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 12, 2012, in a Princeton hospital following a short illness. Born May 15, 1928, at Princeton, he was the son of the late Otis Lee and Dora (Rorrer) Wolfe.

Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mullens, with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. The family of William Wolfe is being cared for by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.
