A 7.5 ton welcome marker was placed along the Route 54 entrance to Wyoming County on Wednesday and unveiled on Thursday morning.

The marker is a demonstration project for the county’s Reaching the Summit Community Service Initiative. Boy Scouts will visit a nine-county area in July 2013 to do community service projects during the National Jamboree.
