Christmas celebrations slated this weekend

Friday, Dec. 4
A Parade of Lights will be held in Mullens at 6 p.m. The procession begins at the city pool and ends downtown.
Cartoon characters and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos with children at the Mullens Fire Department after the parade.
Saturday, Dec. 5
Pineville will hold a Christmas parade at 5 p.m.
A tree lighting ceremony, choir music and readings by essay contest winners will follow on the courthouse lawn.
