MULLENS — Maude Marklin Hypes Canterbury, 92, of Mullens passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012, at her residence following a short illness. Born March 20, 1920, at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Buford E. Hypes, Sr., and Annie Evelyn Hypes. Services was held noon Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Highland Avenue Baptist Church, Mullens, with Rev. Gilbert Dodson officiating. The family of Maude Canterbury is being cared for by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.

BASIN — Frances Lynn Criss, 64, of Basin, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2012 in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. Born June 11, 1948 at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late James Shumate and Gladdis Reed. Services was held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Okey Slate officiating. CYCLONE — Wilfred Wesley Perry, 52, of Cyclone, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born August 26, 1960, in Mullens, WV, a son of Billy Ray and Bobbie Carter Perry. Funeral services was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church with Stephen Walls and Brian Perry officiating. PINEVILLE — Charles Kerry Stafford, 67, of Pineville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2012, at his home in Pineville. He was born December 8, 1944, in Tams, W.Va., a son of the late George Early and Agatha Chandler Stafford.
