LYNCO — James Dillard “JD” Banther Jr., 74, of Lynco, went on to a better life on Friday, October 12, 2012. He was born December 23, 1937, in Laurel Branch, W.Va., a son of the late James Dillard and Hattie McCarty Banther Sr. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Ron Harvey officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.

Robert Gene ‘Rob’ Blankenship

LYNCO — Robert Gene “Rob” Blankenship, 72, of Lynco, who resided in Harrisville, W.Va., for the past year, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 14, 2012. He was born May 2, 1940 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late Bruce Blackburn and Josie Acord Blankenship. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Pentecostal House of Prayer, Lynco, with Rev. Firg Proffitt and Rev. Bill Massey officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.

OCEANA — Frank Ricky Delong, 56, of Oceana, passed away at home unexpectedly on Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was born May 29, 1956 in Welch, W.Va., a son of the late Frank and Sadie Delong. A celebration of his life was held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Valdis Bailey officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco.

Norma Louise Lafferty England

MULLENS — “Safe in the Arms of God.” Norma Louise Lafferty England, 90, of Mullens, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born on February 23rd, 1922, a daughter of the late Goodall Alan Lafferty and Elizabeth Rose Lafferty. A celebration of Norma’s life was held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Pierpoint Freewill Baptist Church, Pierpoint, with Rev. Daniel Legg, Pastor Bob England and Pastor Larry England officiating. The family of Norma England is being cared for by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.
