Visitors from the U.S. Department of Education and the West Virginia Department of Education toured the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center in Pineville on Tuesday.The CTC won the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon award in 2012, one of only two West Virginia schools honored that year. Westside football dominated Shady Spring in a scrimmage at H.B. Thomas Field in Shady Spring on Saturday morning.The Renegades were dominant on both sides of the ball against the Tigers and scored five times, both on the ground and through the air.Shady threatened once but never got into the endzone. Man faces murder charge

A Ravencliff man has been charged with the murder of one man and the shooting of another.Wyoming County Sheriff Randall Aliff said the 911 Center received a call that there had been a shooting at Lucas Hollow at McGraw at 9 p.m. Wednesday.Aliff said officers found that two men had been shot when they arrived.Ernie Cline, 26, of Kopperston was pronounced dead at the scene.Jesse Graybeal, 28, of McGraws was air lifted to Charleston.James Gr...
