Wyoming East dropped a spot and Westside is getting votes in the latest Charleston Daily Mail high school football poll.

The Warrriors lost to No. 8 Mingo Central, 37-28, in the season opener at New Richmond last Friday. They fell from No. 9 to No. 10 in the new poll.

Westside, a 40-28 winner over Liberty, received votes this week.

The Renegades host the Warriors this Friday in the Battle for the Coal Shovel.

In Class AA, Wayne remains at No. 1. Bridgeport, Robert C. Byrd, Bluefield and Sissonville.

Frankfork, Keyser, Mingo Central, Ravenswood and East complete the top 10.

River View, Roane County, Westside, Scott and Fairmont Senior (in that order) received votes.

Martinsburg remains at No. 1 in AAA, and Wheeling Central is atop the Class A poll.
