The Pineville 7-8 Coach-Pitch all-stars are still alive as group play winds down in Man tonight.

Pineville lost a 23-22 heartbreaker to Tug Valley in its first game in Pool A last Saturday and then fell to unbeaten Man, 19-8, on Sunday.

The local stars rebounded to edge Chapmanville, 23-22, in seven innings on Monday. They followed that with a 13-3 victory over Delbarton on Tuesday.

Man is 3-0 and has already sewn up a spot in the semifinals. The other semifinalist from Pool A won’t be known until Man and Chapmanville play tonight.

Chapmanville is currently 2-1 and both Pineville and Tug Valley are 2-2. Delbarton has been eliminated.

Mullens has already been eliminated from Pool B.

Mullens began pool play with a 20-1 loss to Madison. After defeating Sandy River, 16-15, they lost to Welch, 25-8.

Madison and Welch have already qualified for the semis from Pool B.

Semifinal games will be played Friday night at 6 and 8. The championship contest is at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
