Warriors thump Mount View

Wyoming East shot its way into the Big Atlantic Classic AA finals.
The Warriors scored the first 14 points in a 70-35 rout of Mount View on Tuesday night at the Raleigh County Convention Center in Beckley.
The win puts East (9-1) into Saturday’s championship game against rival Westside.
Austin Canada hit two threes and Logan Blankenship and Michael Hayworth each added one as the Warriors rolled to a 12-0 lead in less than two minutes.
A Christian Hedinger lay up made it 14-0 before the Golden Knights got on the board.
East held a 19-3 lead after one quarter.
TaRon Ayers, who had been cleared to play earlier in the day, made his debut for the Warriors, entering the action with two minutes left in the opening quarter.
Ayers played at Summers County last season.
His first field goal made it 31-9 in the second stanza. He finished the night with 6 points.
It was 44-13 at halftime.
The Warriors forced numerous turnovers. The Knights (2-7) finished the night with more than 30.
Canada paced WEHS with 15 points. Hayworth and David Carte each had 10. John Morgan scored 7.
Rashawn Brooks scored 9 to lead Mount View.
East plays at Summers County on Thursday.
Game notes: Saturday’s BAC final will mark the first time East and Westside have played in the tournament’s championship game … The Warriors haven’t lost a game to Mount View since 2003.
