Herndon Consolidated students, Kara Sandy and Samuel Mack, were two of the top scoring students of the Golden Horseshoe test in Wyoming County. This exam tests students' knowledge of the state's history and culture. In recognition of this honor they were inducted, into the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe, by being “knighted” in a ceremony held at the state capital.
