A man facing felony charges in Wyoming and two other counties appeared in Magistrate Court in Pineville on Wednesday.
According to the Wyoming County Prosecutor’s Offce, 25-year-old Keith Tex Hatfield appeared for preliminary hearings on felony charges of escape, attempted robbery, grand larceny and transfer of stolen property. Hatfield has addressed in Pineville and War.
The Prosecutor’s Office said Hatfield also has pending felony charges in Raleigh and McDowell counties.
Hatfield waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magistrate Kim Farmer.
Hatfield, who has a $20,000 cash bond, returned to Southern Regional Jail to await presentment of his cases to the Grand Jury.
Senior Trooper D.G. Pierson of the West Virginia State Police and Deputy Eric McKinney, Deputy Andrew Bishop and Sgt. Tommy Blankenship of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department did the investigation. Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Sante Boninsegna, Jr., is handing the prosecution.
All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
