Mullens police officers arrested an Itmann man who allegedly pulled a large knife and chased another man down a city street.

According to Police Chief Ray Toler, Jonathan Logan Jackson was charged with two counts of battery on a police officer, obstructing and assault.

Jackson also had an outstanding warrant for destruction of property, Toler reported.

“He had just gotten off home confinement three days prior to this incident,” Toler said.

Toler, Assistant Chief Jack Meadows and Jackson were all treated by Jan-Care Ambulance Service.

Toler said Jackson “stated he had to fight the police, it was a code of honor among skin heads not to go without fighting and that he could now obtain colors for bringing blood and fighting the police.”
